Designing and Ordering Custom Notepads with UPrinting
If you love personalized stationery as much as I do, creating custom notepads is a fun and functional way to add a personal touch to your workspace. Whether for daily to-do lists, journaling, or just jotting down ideas, a well-designed notepad can make all the difference. I recently had the opportunity to design and order my own custom notepads with UPrinting and I’m excited to share the process with you!
Why Custom Notepads?
Custom notepads allow you to create something truly unique—whether it’s a simple lined design, a fun productivity tracker, or even a branded notepad for your business. UPrinting makes the process easy with their high-quality printing options and user-friendly platform.
Step 1: Designing the Notepad
Before ordering, I spent some time designing my notepad in Adobe Illustrator. Here are a few things to consider when creating your design:
Layout: I wanted a structure that fit my workflow—something playful yet functional. My design includes two sections: Before Coffee (for those early-morning thoughts) and After Coffee (for my structured to-do list).
Color & Typography: I kept the colors soft and neutral with a pop of warmth to keep the design visually appealing.
💡 Tip: If you don’t use design software like Illustrator or Photoshop, you can also create your design using Canva or UPrinting’s built-in design tool!
Step 2: Uploading to UPrinting
Once my design was finalized, I uploaded it to UPrinting. Their interface is straightforward—simply select your product type, upload your file, and adjust any final settings. Some key choices include: ✔ Paper Type & Finish: I opted for a smooth, uncoated paper for easy writing. ✔ Binding: You can choose between glued edges or spiral binding. ✔ Quantity: UPrinting offers bulk printing, but you can also start with a smaller order.
Step 3: Placing the Order
After reviewing my design and selecting my options, I finalized my order. One thing I want to mention is this, take advantage of the proofing before finalizing your order. It may add a bit of time to the process (honestly it’s really quick) but the prepress team catches errors that most of us would miss. I ended up changing my font selection at their recommendation and I’m so glad I did!
I’m thrilled with how my custom notepads with UPrinting turned out! They made the process seamless, and I love having a notepad that perfectly fits my workflow and aesthetic. Whether you’re creating something for yourself or designing a branded product, custom notepads are a great way to stay organized in style.
