Editorial Design, Print Layout

Salt Magazine is an editorial design project focused on solving the challenge of how to present long-form content in a way that feels visually engaging, easy to navigate, and cohesive across multiple pages. Through strong typographic hierarchy, structured layouts, and image-driven storytelling, the design turns a multi-page publication into a clear and immersive reading experience.

Multi-page editorial design requires more than attractive layouts. Without a clear system, publications can feel disjointed, hard to navigate, or visually flat. For Salt Magazine, the challenge was to create an editorial experience that felt modern and compelling while still guiding the reader clearly through each section of the publication.

I approached the project by building a flexible but consistent layout system that uses hierarchy, white space, and strong image placement to lead the reader through the content. Typography was used not just for style, but as a functional tool to improve pacing and readability. This allowed each spread to feel visually distinct while still contributing to one cohesive magazine identity.

Overall, Salt Magazine shows how a strong editorial system can bring clarity and cohesion to long-form content. The final design uses layout, typography, and imagery to create a publication that is both visually refined and functional for the reader.
